Mammogram

Petang tadi (ahad) bawa Honey jap utk chicken pox immunisation. Melalak2 le minah tu bila kena cucuk. Hihi.. Waktu nak menunggu turn ambil dan bayar ubat, terrrbaca artikel tentang breast cancer and mammogram. So tanya ngan hubby boleh tak kalau saya nak buat ujian mammogram. Ye lah.. dah alang2 ada kat hospital kan. Bila tanya procedure mammogram tak le lama sgt..about 20 minutes je.

But before proceed with the test, I met my gynae. Tanya her opinion. Since saya belum masuk 40...ultrasound sahaja dah mencukupi..tak perlu buat mammogram. So ingat nak buat ultrasound je le. Tp bila sampai kat xray room, the radiologist suggested me to do mammogram. For the peace of mind, I agreed with him. The procedure is very simple, painless and the result is almost 100% accurate.

But..lps buat mammogram...I was asked to do an ultrasound. Alamakkkk..!!!la ni la saya dah mula gelabah...dah nak menangis. Hubby suruh relax. Tanya gak kenapa nak buat ultrasound.. kata mammogram 100% accurate. Awek2 bilik x ray kata..doktor nak buat double cek. Ya Allah...takutnyaaaaaa!!! Jauhkanlah dari penyakit yg boleh membunuh tu. Tuhan je tau betapa paniknye saya masa tu.

Ultrasound ni mcm cara doktor scan baby. The doctor will apply some gel on our breast, then scan them. Malu gak sbb the doctor is a man. But the room was quite dark, they purposely dont switch on the lights so that I wont feel embarrass. Tanya gak ngan doktor why ultrasound after mammogram. He said just another procedure, nothing to worry about.

After 10 minutes, I was given the result. Alhamdulillah....syukur ke hadrat Allah everything is fine. Hubby siap perli2 kegelabahan saya sebelum tu. Tanya gak, bila kena buat lg, awek2 xray ckp lg 2 tahun. Charge utk mammogram pun x le mahal sgt..RM200 je, tak semhl vaksin utk pelvic cancer, mencecah almost RM400 hingga RM500.
